St. Louis Public Library accepts donations of books provided they are in good condition and fall into one of the following three categories:
- Books about St. Louis or the St. Louis region
- Family histories
- Collections that have been carefully developed according to a theme or subject
Materials donated to the St. Louis Public Library become the property of the Library. The Library reserves the right to determine the use and disposition of all donated materials. Inquiries about donations should be directed to the Collection Development Department, Library Branch Managers or Subject Specialists at Central Library.
