Special Collections

The Special Collections Floor consists of the Genealogy Department, St. Louis Room (local history), and Rare Books and Manuscripts. Located on the Third Floor of Central Library, each area handles reference requests and provides research assistance in their respective areas. The Special Collections Floor also oversees Digital Archives Collections and assists patrons with image requests.

Microfilm readers/scanners are located in the Genealogy Room. Copiers with printing, scanning and email capabilities are located in the Genealogy Room and St. Louis Room.

Rare Books & Manuscripts is a controlled access room so customers request access via a buzzer/intercom system.

The items below provide access to the floor’s most used digital resources.
