Empowering our community to rebuild and repair.
The Julia Davis Tool Library is a circulating collection of home repair and maintenance equipment designed to support community resilience. Whether you are performing essential home repairs, assessing property damage, or starting a DIY project, we can help provide the tools you need to get the job done, free of charge with your Library card.
How it Works
- Use our myTurn Julia Davis Tool Library portal to view available tools and reserve them for your project.
- All tools must be picked up from and returned directly to the Julia Davis Library circulation desk. Tools cannot be returned in book drops or to other SLPL locations.
- Tools may be borrowed for up to 21 days.
Who Can Borrow?
To ensure the safety and sustainability of the collection, borrowers must meet the following requirements:
- Borrowers must be 18 years of age or older.
- Borrowers must have an SLPL card in good standing.
- A signed Borrower Agreement and Liability Waiver is required before checking out items for the first time.
Email us at juliadavistoollibrary@slpl.org for help with reservations or collection inquiries.
Donation Inquiries
We love our community's support, but the Julia Davis Tool Library is not currently accepting used tool donations for this collection. If you have tools you would like to find a new home for, please email juliadavistoollibrary@slpl.org and we would be happy to share a list of local organizations that can put them to great use.
