3D Printer Policy

The Library’s 3D printers are available to make three-dimensional objects in plastic using a design that is uploaded from a digital computer file. Any Library customer with a valid Library card may submit files to be 3D-printed; the Library may refuse any print request.

 The Library’s 3D printers may be used only for lawful purposes. For example, 3D printers cannot be used to create material that is:

  • Unsafe, harmful, dangerous, or poses an immediate threat to the well-being of others;
  • Obscene or otherwise inappropriate for the Library environment; or
  • In violation of intellectual property rights, such as copyright, patent, or trademark protections.

The Library may charge a fee for 3D printing. The Library is not responsible for any damage, loss, or security of data arising from the use of its computers, network, or 3D printer, for the availability of the 3D printer, or for the functionality or quality of content produced on the 3D printer.
