Streaming Music Comes to SLPL

St. Louis Public Library is proud to announce that you can now stream five hours of music per day through the Library’s Freegal Music service. In addition to having streaming access to over 13 million songs, you can also download up to five songs per week. Downloaded songs are yours to keep: you can listen to them on your devices, back them up on your computer, and even burn them to CDs.

Access to Freegal Music is easy. All you will need is your Library card number and pin. You can access Freegal Music through a web browser on your desktop or laptop, or through the mobile app on your device. The Freegal Music Service mobile app is available in the Apple® App Store and Google Play®.

Once logged in, to stream an entire album, simply hover your cursor over an album until you see a “stream now” button pop up. Clicking the play buttons before each song title will play the selected songs only. To download a song, click the plus sign and select “Download Now.”

The Freegal Music library not only includes titles from Bilboard’s top 10, but classical, rock, rap and jazz. Whether you are looking for the songs of today or wanting to expand your musical horizons, Freegal Music is the service for you.

Get started today to access your five hours of streaming music per day and five downloads per week.
