What is a Cricut?
A Cricut is a cutting machine that cuts, draws, or scores materials with precision using specialized blades and markers. Use a Cricut to create stickers, business cards, designs for mugs or shirts, and more.

Equipment in Creative Experience
Cricut Maker 3 and 4 machines are available at Barr and Central Library Creative Experiences.

What you’ll need
A design that you can either create or upload to Cricut Design Space, the free software for Cricuts.
All Creative Experience computers have access to Cricut Design Space

Acceptable File Types
svg, png, jpg, pdf

Project Dimensions
Cricut cutting mats available in Creative Experience are 12” x 12”

Materials
Creative Experience has a variety of Cricut materials available for purchase including: cardstock, construction paper, heat transfer vinyl (HTV), printable sticker paper, and vinyl sticker sheet.
Availability of the Library’s Cricut material and colors vary
You may use your own materials with the Cricuts. Please ensure they are approved for use with the Cricut Makers. Find out more about approved materials and uses here.

Cost
5 sheets of available materials for $1.00
There is only a charge to use the Cricut if you purchase materials from the Library.
You can use your free monthly print credit towards Cricut materials

How to Get Started
Cricuts are available for in-library use during normal business hours.
Cricuts are available on a walk-in or reservation basis. Reservations are encouraged, but not required.
Submit this form to request a Cricut reservation at one of our Creative Experience locations.

Things to Know
If it is your first time using the Cricut or if you need assistance using the Cricut, it is recommended that you make a Tech Connect appointment to ensure that there is a staff member available to assist you one-on-one.
Customers are responsible for ensuring the completion of their project. You must be logged into and using the computer during the duration of your project.

Creativebug: Access thousands of video classes on arts and crafts techniques, including Cricut projects with your SLPL card.
