FEMA Assistance

  • On June 9, 2025, FEMA aid was approved for St. Louis storm recovery, designated as Disaster 4877.

  • Non-English Speaking Residents: Contact Gilberto Pinela, director of the Office of New Americans, for assistance at pinelag@stlouis-mo.gov.
  • The City of St. Louis is operating several Disaster Recovery Centers to help people affected by the May 16 tornado and storms
    • At all locations, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will help impacted residents with their disaster assistance applications, answer questions, and upload required documents.
      • To save time, please apply for FEMA assistance before coming to a Disaster Recovery Center. Apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov  by calling 800-621-3362. See above for step-by-step application instructions.
      • You may visit any location, no matter where you are staying now.

    • Ameren Missouri is offering a variety of program updates to help customers in the impacted areas maintain service and access energy assistance.
      • Ameren Missouri Customer Service at 800.552.7583 can assist customers impacted by the severe weather navigate
        • Reestablishing service. 
        • Pausing disconnects for nonpayment through July 2025
        • Have deposits waived for new service through August 2025
  • Spire (Natural Gas):

  • Rx Outreach:   
    • TORNADO RELIEF FUND: For all St. Louis metropolitan area residents affected by the tornadoes on Friday, May 16, 2025, call 314-222-0472 or 888-796-1234 to learn about available medication relief funds.
  • GreaterHealth Pharmacy & Wellness is helping Medicaid patients in urgent need of prescription refills. It also offers free delivery. Call 314-200-5313.
