The St. Louis Public Library Film Festival is back for its second year!
Films submissions open August 1 and run through October 31, or until a maximum of 200 submissions has been reached.
Films are being accepted on FilmFreeway/
All the selected local films will be publicly screened and winners announced on December 15 at Central Library.
All submissions must adhere to the following guidelines:
- Maximum of 1 submission per person
- The same film cannot be submitted more than once
- Accepting films 5-25 minutes in length
- Must be an SLPL or SLCL card holder to submit
- Minimum and maximum runtime includes credits (credits must be less than 50% of a film's total runtime and no longer than 5 minutes)
- Films must be appropriate for ages 13 and older and not include any obscene and vulgar content
- Film must have English subtitles if recorded in a language other than English
- No copyrighted content allowed unless the submitter obtains usage rights
- If your film is selected, you grant SLPL permission to use assets from the film in marketing materials to promote the SLPL Film Festival
A submission does not guarantee entrance to the festival.
Priority will be given to films that have not yet premiered or have premiered within the last 365 days. However older films are welcomed to be submitted and will be considered. Films submitted in prior years are allowed to be resubmitted so long as they have not made final selection and appeared in an SLPLFF event.
Prizes will be awarded for documentary, experimental and narrative.
