Do you like History? Architecture? Libraries? Perhaps all of the above. Would you enjoy learning about St. Louis’ remarkable Central Library and sharing that knowledge with others? Then this may be the volunteer opportunity for you.
Frequency and Duration of Position: Persons filling this position would help to cover the regular tour schedule for Central Library, Mondays 11 and 12:30, Saturdays 11, 12, and 1:00 with additional volunteer opportunities covering private tour groups and events through the week.
Special Skills Needed: Ability to learn and retain information. Teaching or mentoring experience a plus. A high level of comfort with public speaking,
Physical Requirements: An ability to complete the amount of standing and walking required to lead a guided tour without difficulty or discomfort.
Technology Requirements:
Some knowledge of basic technology. Ability to get a receive email and manage an online account.
