
What is the embroidery/sewing machine?
An embroidery/sewing machine is a two-in-one machine that can both sew like a regular sewing machine and stitch decorative designs.
Equipment in Creative Experience
• Brother SE700 Computerized Sewing & Embroidery Machines are available at all Creative Experience locations
What you’ll need
• Fabric to embroider or sew
• A digital design if embroidering
Acceptable File Types
• For embroidery, you will need a pes file
Printing Dimensions
• Maximum custom design space is 4” x 4”
Materials
• Creative Experience does not provide fabric. Customers will need to bring their own material.
• Creative Experience does provide thread, replacement needles, and stabilizer
Cost
• There is no charge to use the sewing/embroidery machine
How to Get Started
• Embroidery/sewing machines are available for in-library use during normal business hours
• Embroidery/sewing machines are available on a walk-in or reservation basis. Reservations are encouraged, but not required.
• Submit this form to request an embroidery/sewing machine reservation at one of our Creative Experience locations.
Things to Know
• If it is your first time using the embroidery/sewing machine or if you need assistance using the machine, it is recommended that you make a Tech Connect appointment to ensure that there is a staff member available to assist you one-on-one.
• Customers are responsible for ensuring the completion of their project. You must be logged into and using the computer during the duration of your project.

• Ink/Stitch: Free, open-source extension for Inkscape that lets you turn your artwork or design into an embroidery file.
• Inkscape: Free, open-source design program used to create and edit vector graphics.
• Creativebug: Access thousands of video classes on arts and crafts techniques, including sewing projects with your SLPL card.
