Acquisition info: Several donations occurred from 1988 to the early 2000s. These donations were either from The Press Club itself or it members, including Rick Stoff, Art Witman, Dave Pasternak, John Roedel, Martin Quigley, Chris Abel, Mary Gamble, John Dengler, and Beatrice Adams.
The second accession came as a donation of 1.5 linear feet of Press Club records which included photos. The photos were interfiled with the previous photo donations in order to make a discrete collection, while the Press Club papers is its own collection. The donation was made by the Press Club on June 30, 1992.
The third accession was discovered in a box at Compton. The photos were interfiled with the previous donations in order to make a discrete collection.

Custodial history:  The collection was created in Special Collections sometime in the 1990s.

Conservation notes:  All items placed into acid-free folders. Some photos housed in Mylar sleeves.
Scope and Content: The collection contains photos of Press Club individuals as well as the Press Clubs events, both formal and informal.
Arrangement: Collection organized into subseries.

Subseries 2: Media Persons of the Year Photographs
Within subseries collection is chronologically, and then alphabetically by subject.
Restrictions: Photographs may be under copyright. Permission required to
reproduce images.
