Hit the road without ever leaving the building. This summer, celebrate the 100th anniversary of Route 66 with St. Louis Public Library Quest: Route 66—an all-ages building-wide game open for drop-in participation Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. , June 1 - August 15 at Central Library, 1301 Olive Street.
Pick up your official Quest brochure at any circulation desk, then start exploring. As you move through the Library, you’ll uncover hidden stops inspired by the legendary “Mother Road,” tracing iconic cities and landmarks from Chicago to Santa Monica.
Track down Route 66 cities along the way. Every stop you find brings you closer to completing the Quest. When you’ve marked your map with notable Route 66 destinations, turn in your completed brochure for a chance to win a fun prize in our end-of-summer drawing.
Souvenir postcards and posters to commemorate your journey are available for purchase at each circulation desk and online at the SLPL Store.
Whether you’re a road trip enthusiast, a curious explorer or just looking for a new way to experience the Central Library, St. Louis Public Library Quest: Route 66 is your ticket to adventure.
