Custodial history: The Miles R. Vesich Collection was donated by Jessica Brown, a producer and friend of Vesich. The collection was assembled over time by Vesich in two binders—one binder of photos and other of bio information, sketches, newspaper clippings, and copies of some of photos in the other binder. Vesich, a St. Louis native, was a set designer and art director for television, videos and theatrical productions. Set designs for the movie Escape from New York (1981) and The Sally Jessy Raphael Show were some of is his more nationally recognized works but most of his resume pertains to set designs for opera and theater houses in New York, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Connecticut, Kentucky, and Minnesota in addition to designing for St. Louis area television shows and theatrical productions.
