Custodial history: St. Louis photographer and photojournalist Kristen Peterson donated examples of her work to the St. Louis Media Archives, St. Louis Public Library in February 2010. Earlier donations of her work—1985, 1987, 1988 and 1989 St. Louis Symphony Rotogravure sections of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch were donated on February 23, 1991. A list of institutions which own or have exhibited her work and several newspaper donated in February 1990—was merged with the more recent donation. Her donation includes work done for corporations, industry, schools, non-profit organizations, charities, and newspapers and magazines.

Conservation notes: All items placed into archival boxes and acid-free folders.
Scope and Content: The bulk of the collection includes newspaper clippings, magazines, company and institution annual reports, plus various advertising materials, all of which feature one or more photos taken by Peterson. Most of the material was published or issued by St. Louis area institutions and organizations between the years of 1975-2005.
Peterson has done professional corporate, industrial, institutional and editorial photography since 1974. Her work includes annual reports, corporate brochures, in-house publications, public relations, special events, executive portraits, product displays and real estate.
Her projects have involved travel in the United States, Mexico, South America, Western Europe, Morocco, Russia, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bali, China, and Japan.
Arrangement: Fifty-eight files, excluding the finding aid, are arranged in alphabetical order by title or name of the issuing organization/institution.
Restrictions: Permission required by artist reproduce images. Copyright held by artist.
Remarks: Original photographs are not part of the collection. Peterson’s images are shown, as published, in the printed media.
