Individual items donated by AJ Cabanellas in May 2002 and Tom Reed in April 1999.
An accession of 1956 interviews with Spider Burks on KXLW were donated by A.J. Cabanellas in March 2002.

Custodial history: The majority of collection was assembled over time by Mr. Burks and donated in several boxes with little order to the materials. The collection was created in Special Collections late mid-1990s and individual items donated by AJ Cabanellas and Tom Reed were interfiled in 2013.

 Item 2  Award plaque. "Presented to Jesse "Spider" Burks in recognition of his leadership and inspiration of all. Posthumously awarded November 20, 1975, The Carson Agency"
 Item 3  Glass ashtray. Spider Burks sketch with KXLW microphone.
 Item 4  A program titled "The DJs and Their Music" which aired on Feb. 15, 1999. The description of the program is as follows: "explores the impact of radio disc jockeys of the '40s, '50s and '60s who shaped the course of rock and roll. Included: Wolfman Jack, Jocko Henderson and Spider Burks. Also: a look at female deejays. Host: Tom Reed." It was an episode from Tom Reed’s show "For Members Only" which aired on KSCI Channel 18 out of Los Angeles, California.
