Scope and Content: The Gateway Review Collection consists of an almost complete run the quarterly magazine from 2010 to present. The GJR supersedes the St. Louis Journalism Review (1970- 2010). In 2010, the SJR was renamed the Gateway Journalism Review and is now published at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. William A. Babcock is the Editor. GJR has expanded its critical analysis from SJR’s sole focus on St. Louis to include all mass media in the Midwest, covering the area between Ohio to Oklahoma and North Dakota to Arkansas; yet, the core of GJR continues to focus on St. Louis.
