Scope and Content: The Fort Wood News was a weekly publication out of Rolla-Lebanon, Missouri (v.1:nos.1-10) and later Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri (v.1:no.11-). “Official publication of one of the Nation’s largest military establishments.” The Media Archives holds an incomplete run of the paper (v.1: no. 2 - v.5: no. 37; March 14, 1941-Nov. 16, 1945). Volume 1: number 1 was published on March 7, 1941. Austin Bridgman was the editor.
