    The St. Louis Public Library is a proud participant in the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP).  Since 1813, the mission of the FDLP has been to safeguard the public's right to access Federal Government information, in accordance with US Administrative Code, TITLE 44: PUBLIC PRINTING AND DOCUMENTS.  As a Federal Depository Library, we provide local, no-fee access to Government information in an impartial environment with professional assistance.

    The collection features documents representing every branch and agency of the federal government in a wide variety of formats and is a resource for all citizens.

    Yes, curbside pickup is available. Click here for more information. We also offer home delivery service to customers who are unable to access Library locations due to disability or mobility issues.

    Interlibrary loan allows cardholders who live or own property in the city of St. Louis to borrow materials owned by other Library systems. SLPL cardholders in good standing can request books, articles, microfilm, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks. Requests usually take between two to three weeks to receive, and we’ll contact you when your materials are ready.     AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program: The AARP is available year-round to assist with your tax questions online.

    GetYourRefund: This nonprofit service built by Code for America partners with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) to help you prepare your taxes. Trained and IRS-certified volunteers will prepare your taxes online. Sign up now to schedule an online appointment.
