Have you ever wanted to see the night sky through a telescope? Have you wanted to use one yourself? Then join us November 9 from 6-8 p.m. at the Barr Branch, 1701 S. Jefferson Ave., for a free training and viewing session conducted by amateur astronomers from the St. Louis Astronomical Society.
Using a telescope is easier than you might think and astronomy is a fun—even life-changing—hobby. The evening begins indoors with hands-on training, where you’ll learn how to get the telescope ready; basic telescope safety and how to find the Moon, planets and stars in the night sky.
Then, weather permitting, go outside and explore the wonders of the universe!
The Library has telescopes that you can check out to use at home.
