It’s not often that you hear rough-and-tough hockey players oohing and ahhing over anything, must less an exhibit. Two days before the Grand Opening of the Library’s newest exhibit, “50 Years of Blood, Sweat, and Cheers---A Tribute to the St. Louis Blues and their Fans,” on December 5, some of the players and staff ventured north to preview the first-of-its kind exhibit.
They were amazed; they were awed. Exclamations of “Wow!,” “Amazing!,” “Look at that!,” and “Way cool!” echoed through the Great Hall and bounced off the Carnegie Room’s wall as they viewed a replica 75x32 foot ice rink, original dasher boards from the Arena, a Glenn Hall replica, various jersey, games used sticks, and display cases fill with memorabilia loaned from the best fans in hockey!
Before they had to go back to practice, each Blue picked up a Library Card. Click here to see photos of their visit! GO BLUES!
