Not So Quiet! returns this month for its 10th season as St. Louis Public Library’s free concert series.
In celebrate of Black History Month, the Library is proud to present a truly unique and poignant group that embraces the spirit of harmony, good will and great spoken word performance art.
The George Sams Experience featuring Shirley LeFlore takes the stage on February 16 at 7 p.m. in Central Library’s Auditorium, 1301 Olive Street.
George Sams has performed throughout Europe and the United States as a jazz instrumentalist and has made recordings under RPM Records, Hat Hut, SAJ, Sound Aspects and Monclair Records.
Shirley LeFlore is one of St. Louis' most influential performance art poets and has received the Warrior Poet Award.
The George Sams Experience featuring Shirley LeFlore will be an unforgettable musical journey, as Jazz and the spoken word merge and flourish into a remarkable, singular performance that will be impossible to replicate under any circumstances.
