St. Louis Public Library’s free concert series, Not So Quiet!, welcomes Portrait – The Music of Kansas on June 21 at 7 p.m. at Buder Library, 4401 Hampton Ave.
Not So Quiet!, which is normally held at Central Library, is hitting the road for the summer and bringing amazing shows to four other SLPL locations.
The Not So Quiet! Live On The Road series kicks off with a faithful and powerful presentation of the legendary band Kansas. Focusing on the band’s most celebrated music, hits and deep cuts, Portrait – The Music of Kansas uses proper instrumentation, superb musicianship, excellent harmonies and a realistic arrangement of the musical genius that is Kansas.
Portrait will impress even the staunchest critic, greatest fan and live concert lover! With eight members including a violinist, multiple synthesizers, and a classically trained pianist, Portrait – The Music of Kansas is far more than a tribute band.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket and relax outside in the parking lot of the Buder Library. This is a free, all-ages show.
Fans may bring their own coolers with soft drinks and adult beverages. No cooking or open flames allowed. This is an all-ages show.
Not So Quiet! concert series is made possible by generous support from Plaza Advisory Group, Inc. and the St. Louis Public Library Foundation.
