Food For Fines Helps Feed Area Residents

Pay down your Library fines and help those in need! St. Louis Public Library’s annual Food for Fines program returns July 1-31 at all SLPL locations.

SLPL will once again team up with the St. Louis Area Foodbank for the 11th year in a row to help fight hunger and feed hope with Food for Fines. Throughout the month of July, the Library will remove $1 in overdue fines from an adult cardholder’s Library account for each non-perishable food item donated, up to $25 per account.

Donations cannot be used to pay for lost or damaged materials. Patrons without fines can still donate.

Items can be dropped off at any SLPL location during regular hours and include canned goods, personal care products, and other non-perishables.
