St. Louis Public Library is reaching out to our Customers to inform you that a Staff member at our Cabanne Library (1106 Union Blvd.) has tested positive for COVID-19. The Staff member last worked Curbside & Walk-Up Service at Cabanne on Friday (1/29).
Based on contact tracing and the small number of employees at that location, Cabanne will be closed today (2/2), but we anticipate reopening for Curbside & Walk-up Services tomorrow. The building is being cleaned and sanitized as an added precaution.
Following our safety protocols, we are communicating with Staff and Customers who may have come in contact with an employee who has tested positive for COVID-19. As our community grapples with life during a pandemic, SLPL recognizes the inherent risks involved in operating public facilities throughout the City of St. Louis.
This is why we have instituted a comprehensive COVID-19 response plan based on the recommendations and requirements of the City of St. Louis, CDC, and OSHA. These controls largely mitigate the potential for spreading the virus and allow us to provide Library services in a safe, responsible manner. Limiting to Curbside & Walk-Up Services provided outside of our buildings further decreases the risk of transmission.
