Yummy: The Last Days of A Southside Shorty

I recommend the book Yummy by G. Neri. The graphic novel is about a young man named Robert. He grew up in Chicago. He was nicknamed Yummy for his love of sweets. He was 11 years old and sadly enough he got caught up in gang business. He shot and confirmed his first victim. I like Yummy because it tells a modern story of a young black boy trying to make it on the streets. This story represent so much of the real truth about young black boys. If you like stories about struggles this is the one to go to. I highly recommend reading Yummy.
