Welcome to Oscar Week! (& a free program for filmmakers at Central!)

Thursday March 2 from 4-5 p.m. join Sue Greenberg, Executive Director of Volunteer Lawyers & Accountants for the Arts, as she shares her list of 10 Books Every Filmmaker Should Read (a couple of teaser titles are included below) as well as the services VLAA provides. We will meet in Central Library's Creative Experience space and Honna Veerkamp, the Creative Experience Specialist, will discuss the resources available in that space for filmmakers to work on their Oscar-worthy creations (available software includes Sony Vegas Movie Maker, FL Studio, Audacity, Blender, Final Cut Pro & iMovie).  Lisa Thorp, the Library's Grants & Foundations Librarian, will round out the discussion with information on how to research grant resources that may be available to help you realize your cinematic dreams using the Foundation Center's Foundation Grants to Individuals Online subscription database.

Please contact Lisa or Honna with any questions. For those that missed it, here is the list of 10+ Books Every Musician Should Read, and here is the sneak preview of the filmmaker list:
