Upcoming Small Business programs at Central Library

We have some great small business programs coming up in July!

We will kick things off with our first Lunch-and-Learn program is on July 17th at 11:00 am with Turning Passion Into Profits: The Basics of Starting a Small Business.  Representatives from The Missouri Small Business and Technology Development Center will provide participants with an overview of the critical first steps associated with starting a business. This session is designed specifically for those who are thinking about a new business venture.

Next, we have three morning programs, starting with Powering the American Dream on July 23rd at 9:00 am.  Presented by representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration, they will provide an overview of programs and services available to small business owners for every stage of your business.

On July 27th at 9:30 am, join us for an Introduction to Gale Small Business Builder presented by Mary Meyer, the Library's Digital Services Librarian. She will take you through using this step-by-step online planning tool to start, manage, market, and optimize a business or nonprofit.

Then, on July 30th at 9:00 am, representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration will show you how to fund your business with an SBA-guaranteed loan using SBA's Lender Match.  Lender match is a free online referral tool that connects small businesses with participating SBA-approved lenders
