The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby is a literature novel about the mysterious bootlegger Jay Gatsby. I would only recommend this book to people who look for messages in the story while reading, because the author complicates the story so that the theme is not very clear. The narrator changes from different subjects throughout the chapters and you’ll have to re-read to figure out what is going on. This is a book I had to read for literature class, which is where I think it belongs. It’s not something most teens would read on their free time. There are only certain parts that get interesting to where you’ll want to keep reading, otherwise it’s very boring and unable to focus on.
