Tale of Despereaux

The Tale of Despereaux is a medieval style book but it’s nothing like you’ve ever read. It’s a book divided into three smaller books. Each one tells different parts of the story with a different protagonist. What makes this book so interesting is the contradiction of a "brave" mouse. Once upon a time, there was a regular mouse living in a society of mice that outlawed bravery. This little guy was the bravest mouse you’d ever imagine. Of course this courageous mouse did what no mouse should ever do. It was punishable by death. He talked to the princess. This got him exiled and thus begins his adventure from the city of rats to the kingdom’s dungeon. All for the chance to be the princess’ royal guard. As you can see, this book is a kid’s book but it’s also one of my top recommendations for all ages. It’ll put this book at the top of my list of all the books I’ve ever read.
