Surviving the Applewhites

I personally would recommend readers to engage in the Surviving the Applewhites series. I’ve read it once before and I think it would be a great experience reading about a former delinquent boy moving into a strict yet crazy family. A boy named Jake Semple is living with the Applewhites because he has gotten kicked out of nearly every school in his home state and he has no legal guardian available to look after him because his parents were caught red-handed making drugs inside their home. Jake, away from his family and a rule-free environment, isn’t convinced that he will have any type of fun in his new home. In the Applewhite family, he meets E.D., his exact opposite, who doesn’t like him that much either. But has time passes, they set aside their difference to work together. The Applewhite family makes their money by performing. Jake Semple slowly starts to improve by learning that there is more to life than breaking rules and that it is okay to be creative.
