Kids and Teens Downloadables for Summer Reading

Make reading and the Library part of your summer. Join St. Louis Public Library’s Summer Reading Program between May 22 and July 29, at your local Branch or online. Once you sign up, keep track of your reading and claim your prizes at any St. Louis Public Library branch between May 30 and July 29.

The St. Louis Public Library offers downloadables just for Kids and Teens. Use your library card to download eBooks, Audiobooks, Comics and get suggestions on what to read during the summer from our digital collections. Download the apps to read or listen to books on your mobile device.

overdriveAccess to downloadable eBooks and eAudiobooks, just for kids and teens! Every book lover is sure to find an enjoyable title, available for download to the device of their choice, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can check out up to ten Overdrive titles, for seven or fourteen days, and you can place up to twelve holds at a time.


hooplaHoopla offers eBooks, eAudiobooks and comics available for download. There are materials available for all ages of users, and a special 'kids mode' can limit results to juvenile content. All items are available for instantaneous download; there are no hold lists, which means no waiting for your favorite materials. With your library card you’ll receive ten Hoopla checkouts per month. If you can't think of a book you've liked in the past, simply choose a topic of interest and explore lists of recommended books. NoveList K-8 Plus includes both fiction and nonfiction titles. Teachers will find thematic units and other resources for incorporating fiction and nonfiction into the classroom, as well.
