Staff Pick: Please Don’t Tell My Parents I’m a Supervillain

What happens if you want to be a hero but you accidentally become a villain?

Penelope is the daughter of two superheroes and has the ability to make amazing super gadgets that even she doesn’t understand.  More than anything, she wants to be a superhero.  Then, she and a couple of friends get into a fight with a sidekick and get labeled as supervillains and it turns out villainy is kind of fun. Unfortunately, her parents would never approve so she has to keep everything a secret.  (You try being a secret villain when you have to ride the subway to all of your target locations because you’re not old enough to drive.)  Is she fated to be a villain forever or can she, somehow, become a hero?

I’d recommend this to anyone who likes superheroes and action-packed stories with quite a bit of humor.   It is the first of a series so stay tuned for the continuing story of Penelope and her friends. Book 2 is called “Please Don’t Tell My Parents I Blew Up the Moon”.
