Past and Future Grants Classes at SLPL (Save the Dates!)

Many thanks to Amy Lottes, GPC, Director of Grant Management at The Little Bit Foundation & Logos School, for the fantastic Grant Writing 101 course on June 8.  If you weren’t able to make it, we have good news: Amy will be returning in the fall to offer the program again! Here is our lineup of fall offerings:

  • Intro to Grant Research – Grants & Foundations Librarian Lisa Thorp will provide an overview of the GFC resources, focusing particularly on the Foundation Center’s Foundation Directory Online and its new user interface which is due to be rolled out later this summer (we have seen previews in a recent webinar & we think it will be well-received).
    Tuesday October 10, 4:30-6:00 p.m.
  • Grant Writing 101 – Amy Lottes will be back at Central to provide an overview of the ins and outs of writing nonprofit grant proposals.
    Tuesday November 14, 4:30-6:00 p.m.
  • After the Grant (our working title) – Kent Hornberger, GPC, a member of the Board of Directors of the Grant Professionals Certification Institute and a board member of the Grant Professionals Association's St. Louis Regional Chapter, will present a class on how to manage and evaluate the success of the grants you receive.
    Tuesday December 5, 4:30-6:00 p.m.

All classes will be held in the Training Room on the 2nd Floor of Central Library. Registration is optional, but recommended to ensure we have sufficient handouts. Please contact Lisa Thorp by email at lthorp@slpl.org or at 314 539-0357 with any questions.
