I’m sure many of you are aware that the federal government maintains national cemeteries where veterans and their spouses may be buried at government expense. You may not know, however, that many states (Missouri included) maintain veteran cemeteries for their own veterans.
The five Missouri State Veterans Cemeteries are located at:
Bloomfield (Stoddard County)
Ft. Leonard Wood (Pulaski County)
Higginsville (Lafayette County)
Jacksonville (Randolph County)
Springfield (Greene County)
