Meet the Foundation!

Did you know...

St. Louis Public Library has a foundation?

A national survey shows nearly 51% of Library cardholders are unaware their Library has a foundation. Do you know about St. Louis Public Library Foundation (SLPLF)?

What does the SLPLF do?

While the daily operations of the St. Louis Public Library (SLPL) are supported through tax funding, many programs and initiatives would not be possible without the generosity of the Friends of the St. Louis Public Library. Our Friends connect the city to free world-class exhibits, arts and cultural experiences, learning opportunities, new materials and so much more.

What we support?

St. Louis Public Library (SLPL) serves the region as a leader in early childhood literacy and the Friends of the St. Louis Public Library are proud to fund the innovative programs, materials and outreach services through the Born to Read early childhood literacy initiative. Friends support ensures children birth to age 8 and their parents, caregivers and educators have free access to life-changing literacy resources.
