Jock Jams

It’s that time of year again. The point where baseball, the NFL draft, and the playoffs of the NBA and NHL reach their fever pitch. Yes, the wide worlds of sports have aligned and collided into one big ball of frenzy. Celebrate the fervor with these jock jam favorites you’re certain to hear relentlessly.

Rolling Stones “Start Me Up” - The opening notes of this classic riff is all it takes.

Queen “We Will Rock You” - The gold standard.

White Stripes “Seven Nation Army” -  "Ohh, oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhhh, ohhhhh."

Village People “YMCA” - Vintage crowd pleaser from the 1970s.

Blur “Song 2” - Great song to keep the rally going between pitching or line changes.

Guns ‘N’ Roses “Welcome To The Jungle” - Just a little something to let the visitors know they’re in hostile territory.

Glenn Frey “The Heat Is On” - The anthem for the Cardinals during the 1987 pennant race.

John Fogerty “Centerfield” - This bat-cracking intro is played while the batter steps out of the box...again.

Journey “Don’t Stop Believin" - Early 1980s power anthem resurrected by the Chicago White Sox now played before magical comebacks everywhere.

Of course, there’s so many that aren’t on this list. Some are victims of fads, fashions, and trapped in there era just waiting to be given new life at a park or stadium near you.
