We had an engaged group at the recent "Better Outcomes for Nonprofits with CQI" program with Sarah Buek (Insight Partners Consulting LLC) at Central Library, where we learned what CQI is ("Continuous Quality Improvement"), what it is NOT (CQI ≠ compliance), and how it can benefit your nonprofit organization (lots of ways - see bottom slide at right). This librarian, for one, is excited about what CQI can do both for me and for the organization where I work. If you were unable to join us and would like to learn more, check out some of Sarah's CQI blog posts or send her an email at email@example.com. Sarah does CQI consulting for organizations, and sends out a great monthly newsletter, which you can subscribe at the bottom of this page. She also mentioned a bunch of books during and after her presentation, a few of which we had here at the SLPL Grants & Foundation Center, and others of which we have ordered and are looking forward to adding to our collection - so come visit the GFC library to see what's new!
Next up in the GFC program lineup is Grant Writing 101 with Amy Lottes, returning for a third time to present this very popular program, giving an overview of the ins and outs of grant writing for nonprofits on Thursday September 13 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. in the auditorium on the lower level of Central Library - click here to register.
If you ever want to know what we have on the GFC calendar, you can call us (314 539-0357), email Lisa at firstname.lastname@example.org, or go to the SLPL website & search "Events" for "GFC" and you'll find the whole list - currently we have programs scheduled monthly through the end of 2018. Hope to see you soon!
