Hunger Games

The Hunger Games takes place in post-war society. The war was caused by the capitol mistreating its country and divided it into separate districts. This paved way to a rebellion. To make sure it doesn’t happen again, the capitol created the “Hunger Games”. A game where a girl and a boy are selected from each district to fight each other to the death and broadcasted across the entire country. This is a story of how a teenage girl fights to beat the odds in place of her little sister.

I personally would put this book in my top 5. Most others would do so by instinct. I think what makes this book so amazing is how the conflict includes a teenager fighting for her life. A TEENAGER! Not a man or woman. This concept kind of activates something within the reader. Like the question, “why would anyone do this?!” While still making you want to read it because of crazy-original it is. This is a book you definitely can’t forget about.
