Hoopla for Kids

Hoopla is a free streaming and digital content app that allows St. Louis Public Library cardholders  to borrow movies,  music, audiobooks, ebooks, comics,  and TV shows. Hoopla is available as an app on Apple and Android devices and is also accessible through a web browser such as Google Chrome on your computer as well. All you need to access thousands of digital items is a valid library card. To protect your little ones from seeing content they shouldn't, Hoopla has a Kids Mode to make browsing safer and easier for your kids, and it couldn’t be simpler to use. A kid-friendly browsing experience for digital content is as easy as 1-2-3 with the Hoopla app through SLPL.

  1. Open the Hoopla app.
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Click the on button for the Kids Mode.

Congratulations! You can now let your kids browse, view, and listen to content in the Hoopla app without worry. Once the kids have had their fun and you are ready to browse for yourself again just turn it off by heading back into your settings.
