GSCM Reporter

Our genealogy collection concentrates on the State of Missouri, and states and countries that furnished large numbers of migrants to Missouri. As part of that research focus, we collect printed genealogical materials for various Missouri counties, including family histories, record compilations, county and local histories, and publications of county Genealogical and genealogical societies.

One quarterly we receive is GSCM Reporter (Genealogical Society of Central Missouri). This bi-monthly originates from the society’s headquarters in Columbia, Missouri. The society’s focus is Boone County and surrounding counties. Bi-monthly issues are thirty pages long (29 pages of content and one page for mailing info). Contents generally consist of society news, recent library acquisitions, new members, family stories, and transcriptions of newspaper articles.

Issues of this bi-monthly for 1996-2010 are available in the Genealogy Room. Our collection also includes several histories and record compilations for central Missouri counties, which you can locate by searching our Catalog for these terms (case does not matter):

Other counties in their coverage area include Howard, Audrain, Cooper, Cole, Moniteau, Randolph, and Callaway.
