GFC – What’s Going On?

SLPL Programs through Year End 2017

  1. Intro to Grant Research. We had a great turnout for our Intro to Grant Research program last month - thanks to all who turned out on a rainy day to learn about our resources! Please visit us in the Grants & Foundation Center on the 2nd floor of Central to try out Foundation Center's revamped Foundation Directory Online - now more of an "app" & less "database-y".
  2. Grant Writing 101. Due to a great response, we have relocated this program, to be presented by Amy Lottes on Tuesday November 14 (that's TOMORROW!) from 4:30 to 6 p.m., to the Central auditorium on the lower level. We hope to be able to accommodate everyone, but the event is first come, first served. You may need to sit next to someone, but that's OK, right? While we had invited people to register, don't be concerned if you saw a "This event is full" notice on the SLPL event calendar. If we run out of handouts, we will collect emails to send them to attendees or to those who can't make it or figure out a way to make them available.
  3. After the Grant. We will wrap up our programming year on Tuesday December 5 with Kent Hornberger discussing how to best formulate your goals and objectives and implement your evaluation plan to demonstrate success to your funders. This program will also be held in the auditorium at Central. To register, click here.

Watch this space for info about 1st quarter 2018 courses (spoilers: we'll have programs on starting a nonprofit, legal issues for nonprofit boards, and more grant management!) and more exciting (we think so anyway!) information.
