Death and Company. And what that has to do with a culinary blog

black and white Death and Company logoIf you browse the shelves in our culinary section, maybe the spine of the book that reads "Death & Co", in scrolling silver text on a black cover, caught your eye. From just the spine, you might think we had accidentally mis-shelved a book about death customs or cemeteries. However, the full cover reveals "Death & Co: Modern Classic Cocktails."   Intrigued?

Death & Co is a "must visit" destination for serious cocktail enthusiasts who want to sample the most inventive and creative cocktails being crafted today. While New York, NY might not be a short drive from St. Louis, you may experience some of these cocktails in your own home, courtesy of this beautiful book.  In its pages you'll discover not only recipes for a Blazing Saddle, a Flor de Jerez, and a Widow's Laurel, but you'll learn about theory and philosophy of drink making, step-by-step instructions of techniques, and more. There's even a section about measuring and pouring devices, so you can learn the difference between an ice pick and a wood chisel.  if you didn't already know, that is.

We have more books, if this one intrigues you and you'd like even more to read up on:
Death & Co
Craft Cocktails
Hollywood Cocktails
and to accompany your drinks: Cocktail Hour
