Changes With Downloadables

There have been a few changes to some of the Downloadables apps.

Hoopla is no longer supporting Microsoft Internet Explorer. Microsoft stopped updating Internet Explorer in 2016 due to the release of their new improved browser, Microsoft Edge. If you are using Windows 8 or Windows 7, hoopla will only be supported on Firefox or Chrome browsers.

OverDrive has added more features to the Libby app, where everything is just one tap away to the library, shelf and the latest book that you are reading. Set your search preferences right from the Library site and open a title as soon as your borrow it. You can also view your borrowng activity to see if you have checked out the title before.

RBdigital Magazines (formerly Zinio Magazines) has discontinue the Zinio for Libraries app. As a result, you will need to download the RBdigital app on your mobile device to access magazines. Your username and password will remain the same. You won't lose any of your previously checked out content

Freegal updated their website and app. When you go your app store you may see the new Freegal app and it will say Open with no option to update. Updates can be found for the following:

  • IOS go to the App Store and tap Updates tab.
  • Android go to the Play Store and tap the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner. Tap My apps & Games.

Just a precaution, DO NOT DELETE THE APP. It could delete all the preserved music that was downloaded, streamed or in playlists.

All Downloadable apps are available from your device's app store.
