Black Snowflakes

This time of year, it's easy to reach for a feel-good, holiday read. You know the type, with book covers featuring happy people, snow, maybe some mistletoe. Maybe pretty bows or pine trees. However, those of us with a tendency to lean toward the dark side might want some different selections to page through. On display this month in Center for the Reader, you'll find a cart decorated with black snowflakes. Why black? Well, because these books tend to share some of the same qualities, including cold settings and crime.

Below are just a few examples, but for more books, check out our display or this handy list.
