2016 End of Year Giving

Like any great literary hero and his or her sidekick, Tom Schlafly and the St. Louis Public Library make a great team.

For nearly 30 years, Tom has served on the Library’s Board of Directors. He has been a steadfast voice of reason, and a voice that has challenged the Library to think about its mission and service to our community in new and different ways. The St. Louis Public Library and the St. Louis Public Library Foundation have benefitted tremendously from Tom’s leadership, vision and support.

This fall, Tom and the St. Louis Public Library Foundation continue their strong partnership to raise support for the Library.

Support for your Library today and tomorrow*

As we approach this season of charitable giving, make your end-of-year gift to support the Library’s literacy and afterschool programs throughout the City of St. Louis today.

Tom has made a gracious commitment to match all end-of-year donations with a gift to the Library’s endowment to support your Library tomorrow.*

Make your donation by midnight on December 31, 2016, so that your gift will have twice the impact.

Your support will ensure free access to literacy and afterschool programs that serve close to 30,000 children and teens each year throughout the City of St. Louis, including the following:

• Homework Helpers (ages 5-18)
• Summer Reading Club (ages 4-17)
• Read it Forward (ages 12-18)
• Reading Pays (ages 7-12)
• Play Date Theater (families)

* The 2016 End-of-Year Schlafly Commitment will match gifts up to $15,000.

The St. Louis Public Library Foundation is an independent nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization registered with the IRS and the State of Missouri and all donations are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law.
