Video Games

Playing Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii games is thrilling and fun – and they’re for everyone! Whether you are a new, casual, or experienced gamer, St. Louis Public Library has the games you can’t wait to play.

Getting these free games is easy: peruse our titles via the catalog, request the games you want and pick them up for checkout at the library location of your choice. If you want to browse video games in your local library, you will find them at SLPL’s four regional locations (Buder, Carpenter, Julia Davis, Schlafly) and Central Library.

Games check out for seven days, and are renewable, permitting there are no outstanding requests. The collection is divided into two classifications: “JGAMES” (titles suitable for all audiences) and “GAMES” (titles rated Teen, Mature, and some E or E10+ games intended for adult audiences). Unrestricted cardholders are able to checkout two “GAME” items and two “JGAME” items. Restricted cardholders are allowed checkout of two materials from the “JGAME” collection.

It’s time to get your game on -- Share new and memorable experiences with your family, neighbors, friends, and yourself!
