| Qualifications: |
The person in this position is responsible for providing technical support to staff members throughout the Library system, including installation of hardware and software, database updates, troubleshooting, repair or swapping of equipment, and maintenance of various computer equipment and software. Additionally, this person will type a minimum of 35 wpm, have the ability and commitment to perform follow-up and contribute to departmental communications. Also, a strong commitment to public service and the ability to communicate clearly with non-technical users in person, by telephone, and in writing is essential. Must have the physical ability to perform moderate manual labor to include lifting, maneuvering, and placing objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Must maintain a dependable car for the purpose of responding to support calls originating from various library locations. Flexible work schedule including evenings and weekends. |

| Position: | Helpdesk Manager |
| Education: | Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or High School diploma and a minimum of four years of experience in technical support with customer service exposure. Preference will be given to those with previous technical management experience. |
| Qualifications: |
The person filling this position will be responsible for prioritizing, scheduling and managing Helpdesk activities on a daily basis in order to support existing technology. Additionally, the Helpdesk Manager serves as a technical resource person to the Helpdesk staff. Must be able to manage, train and lead other staff efficiently. The Helpdesk Manager must be able to communicate clearly and calmly with non-technical and technical users in person, by telephone and in writing. Must be a team player and be committed to follow-up and effective departmental communication. Also, this person must have good judgment, decision-making and organizational skills. Must have DOS, Windows and Windows Server technical skills as well as microcomputer/server hardware and software setup experience. Must be able to touch type a minimum of 35 wpm and possess a strong commitment to public service. Must have a dependable car and be able to work a flexible schedule including the possibility of evenings and weekends. | Position: | Maintenance Mechanic I |
| Education: | Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of four years experience in the building maintenance related field, or have an equally qualified education from a Mechanical Trade School. |
| Qualifications: |
Must have working knowledge HVAC systems, be able to troubleshoot repairs, (mechanical and electrical), and must work to acquire a Universal Refrigerant Certification. Must have background in electrical systems and repairs, knowledge with plumbing repairs, and have a general knowledge with all general building repairs. Must have valid driver’s license. Must be available for rotating on-call service and special event overtime hours as needed. Must be able to perform maintenance work from ladders and scaffoldings. Must be able to do moderate and heavy lifting will be required and must provide personal hand tools for basic repairs. Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00pm with on-call and event overtime requirements |

Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, experience using software and the Internet, and basic understanding of PC’s and printers. Schedule: Mondays, Tuesday, Thursday 5-9 pm; Saturdays and Sunday 1-5 |

Will prepare materials for cataloging by unwrapping and preparing covers; adding protective jackets to book covers; prepare AV materials for appropriate containers. Must be able to scan and sort materials, deliver materials to Library departments, prepare books for transfer and withdrawal and processes withdrawn materials. The successful candidate must be flexible and adaptable to change in the department and be able to perform the duties that are routine or may vary. Must be able to perform moderate manual labor to include lifting, maneuvering, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Schedule: Monday-Friday (40 hrs), weekend if needed |

Experience in library setting, knowledge of child development, children's literature and storytelling skills desirable. Person in this position prepares deposit collections, prepares and presents programs to schools, headstarts, daycares, parent and teacher groups, etc. Provides reference assistance to children and youth. Assists children and adults with computers, including internet access. Position requires travel to various locations for storytelling and other outreach programs. Position requires flexibility and good written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to establish rapport with co-workers, patrons and staff in daycares, headstarts and busy Regional Branch Library. Works closely with Regional Youth Librarian. May supervise homework helpers and volunteers. |
