Fines and fees

A $1.00 fee is charged to replace a library card that is reported lost. This fee applies to both adults and minors.

The Library's fine structure for overdue materials is based on what type of card you have, the kind of materials you have borrowed, and how late you are in returning them.

For adults, fines on most items are $.05 per day, per item, with a $3.00 maximum. Paperbacks reach a $.50 maximum.

For cards issued to minors, fines on most items are $.05 per day, per item, with a $.50 maximum.

Fines on videocassettes, DVDs, book boxes, book bags, and toys are $1.00 per day per item, with a limit of $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for minors.

You may continue to check out additional materials until your fines total $15.00.
