Grand Reopening of Grants & Foundation Center

St. Louis, MO… The St. Louis Public Library is proud to announce the Grand Reopening of the Grants & Foundation Center (the Library’s Foundation Center Cooperating Collection) in Central Library, 1301 Olive St., on January 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All area nonprofit organizations, grantseekers, fundraisers, and philanthropists are invited to attend this FREE event.

The Grants & Foundation Center is now located in the Social Science Room on the Second Floor, directly east of the Great Hall. As part of the day’s events, the Library, the Foundation Center, and our St. Louis area nonprofit program partners will offer the following activities:

  • 10 a.m., 11 a.m., Noon, and 1 p.m.—Docent-led tours of the restored, renewed, and reinvented Central Library.
  • 20-Minute Orientation Sessions to the Grants & Foundation Center.—Learn what’s available to nonprofits, grantseekers, fundraisers, and philanthropists.
  • 11 a.m.—Social Media 101 for Your Nonprofit.—Forty-five minute overview with ARCHS’ Steve Brawley.
  • Noon—Involving Your Board in Fundraising.—Forty-five minute overview with BoardLinkStL’s Mike Ochonicky.
  • 1-2:30 p.m.—How to Approach a Foundation.—David Holmes, Midwest Regional Training Director from the Foundation Center, leads a special live webinar for St. Louis area fundraisers. Participants will learn how to initiate and build relationships with foundations at every stage of the submission and decision process.
