St. Louis, MO... The St. Louis Public Library is proud to present a pair of cool authors sure to help readers beat the July heatóKasey Mackenzie and Earl Austin, Jr. Both programs are FREE and open to the public.

*   Kasey Mackenzie signs her new book, Green-Eyed Envy. The event takes place at Central Express, 815 Olive Street, on July 7 at 11 a.m. [NOTE: This is a book signing ONLY.]

Marissa Holloway belongs to a mysterious race that has meted out justice since time immemorial. As Bostonís chief magical investigator, itís her duty to solve crimes committed by or against supernaturals. When the bodies of shapeshifters begin piling up in Bostonís magical underbelly, it is up to Marissa to crack the case.

*   Earl Austin, Jr. discusses and signs his new book, You Might Need a Jacket II: More Hilarious Stories of Wacky Sports Parents. The event takes place at the Walnut Park Branch, 5760 W. Florissant Ave., on July 16 at 2 p.m.

You Might Need a Jacket II is Austinís second book dedicated to the sometimes obsessive behavior of sports parents. It contains more than 150 stories and anecdotes chronicling the activities of ďStrait-Jacket Parents,Ē a term that describes those overzealous mothers and fathers who yearn to have their children shine in the athletic spotlight.
